EsportsClub

Esports Club is the school’s competitive gaming club.

The match

A match is a series of games, and the side that wins most of them takes it. Best of three is first to two; best of five is first to three. The last game is only played if it is needed, and because the count is odd a series cannot end level.

The draft. In a game with a draft, the two sides take turns before anyone loads in: each strikes characters out of the pool, then each picks its own. A character struck by either side is out for both.

The veto. The same idea, for maps. The sides take turns striking maps from the pool until the ones to be played are left.

The scrim. A series played for practice, arranged between two teams and counting for nothing. A line-up is tried in a scrim before it is fielded.
